10th Meeting
1. Cite one experience wherein you have experienced negative peer pressure.
- The peer pressure that I’ve experienced in my high school was everytime my classmates plan to go to “ilaya” or stroll around the town. Almost all of them were going so they’re asking me to go with them.
2. How did you react to it? Why?
- If I don’t want to go with them, I say no. And that’s final. They know me, if I said I don’t like to do something they know it’s the truth and they’ll let me with my decision.
3. How did you feel about your reaction/decision?
- I feel good about it. At a young age, I know how to stick to my decision and I can’t be easily persuaded by other people especially my peers.
4. What have you learned/realized from your experience?
- I learned that in every decision that we’re going to make, it’s important that we’ll stick to it especially when it comes to peer pressure. I know this is the good thing to do and I’ll always make sure that I’ll practice it for the rest of my life.

8th Meeting
Admitting your mistakes is quite hard to do. I myself also have a difficulty on doing this. But I know for sure that admitting mistakes is the right thing. Taking this challenge, I realized that it's not really hard at all. All I have to do is be calm and not to be hard ont hings that I do and planned to do. Because sometimes when we take things very seriously and we didn't accomplished it we will feel very down. But if we do it lightheartedly, we can make it easily or if not our feelings will not be that hurt.
And so I decided to really beat myself on it. Fortunately, I did and I felt great about it. I've finally overcome one of my weaknesses. Now I know that I'm really growing mentally, emotionally, and socially. And because of my awareness of the advantages and importance of admitting mistakes, I will do my best to continue and develop this good attitude. I know it's for my own good that's why I will not let myself be defeated again by my own cowardness.

4th Meeting Questions
- I feel good about it. Because I'm not really aware and I don't pay too much attention to the positive characteristics and qualities of mine. I rarely think about it that's why I don't appreciate it that much. But then, after our fourth meeting on Values011, I learned self-appreciation. However, its not about taking too much pride on my good characteristics and achievements and brag it to other people, but its more about accepting myself exactly as who I really am. And that's really important. I'll have self-respect and through that I can respect other people and vice-versa.
2. The Golden Rule says, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."
a. Given the following situations, how would you like to be treated by your teachers and schoolmates:
- when you have given wrong answers to the questions during recitation:
I'll appreciate it if they will consider my answer and try to explain to me properly why I'm wrong.
- when you are expressing your opinion during class or group discussion:
Ofcourse, I like them (my teacher and schoolmates) to pay attention to me whether or not my opinion is correct. Its like giving respect if they'll listen while I'm talking.
- when you are giving suggestions during group work or presentation:
Its unavoidable that my suggestion might not be accepted but it will bring me a good feeling if my groupmates will give what I'm suggesting a try and give a consideration to it.
- when you commit mistake:
No man wanted to feel down and get offended, so when I commit a mistake I don't like other people to treat me like an insect or tease me like I'm very stupid. What I want them to do is accept me and understand why I've done wrong.
- when you don't like doing what they ask you to do:
I want them to respect my decision. 'Coz i reaaly mean it when I said I don't want what they're asking me to do.
- when they want to give you comments or suggestions?
I'll be grateful if they correct the things I've done wrong or give me comments and suggestions for my own sake if and only if they do it the right way. I mean if they talk to me properly and nicely so that I won't get offended.
b. Considering the given ideas on how to treat others with restpect what can you commit to yourself in terms of dealing with the MCL commmunity: teachers, students, employees, security, maintenance/janitors and canteen personnel?
3rd Meeting Question

1st Meeting Questions
- Values Education may seem very simple and maybe sometimes we disregard and don't pay attention to it. But in a wider sense, Values Education is very important to us. Why? Because in here we refresh our minds on the our needed values and we have time to reflect on our own attitudes. As for me, I knew myself more through this. I learned some new things to develop my own personality and principles in life. That's why I believe that it is always in my advantage to take up a course like this.
2. After you have processed your first few experiences at MCL, in what way this will help you achieve successful adjustment in college?
- I learned a lot on myself on my first week of being a college student. I managed to overcome my fear and gain my confidence. I know that this means a lot for me to be able to succeed in college. Although its kind of difficult because I'm in a new environment and take note, I'm far away from my family. So I'm learning to live independently and that I believe is a preparation for my future life.
